Dublin Real is an independent, citizen-led civic platform founded by Ian Croft in Dublin. We turn lived experience into informed public discussion, practical proposals and constructive engagement with decision-makers.

Ian’s work with D9 Therapy & Wellness, alongside his experience of planning processes and community governance, informs his interest in housing, wellbeing and public participation. Dublin Real brings these interests together through accessible explanations and proposals people can help develop.

Our current campaign calls for independent OMC oversight, protection for people raising concerns and accessible training for volunteer directors. We welcome input from residents, owners, professionals and public representatives across Ireland.

Housing Quest remains our developing long-term housing initiative. Its proposed pilot requires feasibility work, suitable partnerships and funding before delivery.

We aim to distinguish verified facts, personal experience and proposed solutions; acknowledge uncertainty; and correct mistakes openly. We welcome constructive disagreement and assess ideas on their practical public benefit.
